Bio
My name is Zoey Sloane. I was born and raised in Howell, New Jersey. I started my dance training at a small local dance studio, where my mom has been teaching for many years. The Dance Den, introduced me to many styles of dance; jazz, tap, lyrical, pointe, ballet, and hip-hop. I began competing with my studio at age 11. My dance training started to become much more serious when I was in the 9th grade, when I started high school in a very competitive performing arts program, FPAC. I was able to dance throughout the school day for credit. In FPAC, I was trained in ballet, modern and jazz and I got to work with Lisa Twamley and Melanie Kramer. Within the program, I took voice and acting lessons that helped me further my experience in the arts. This program helped me get to the point of dance training I am at now. I am currently a Dance Major earning my BFA at The Ohio State University. Here, I am furthering my knowledge not only on technique, but in choreography and other areas of the arts.
